The Authentic Story
On February 5, 2026, beloved Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav surrendered at Tihar Jail to serve a six-month sentence. This surrender came after the Delhi High Court's Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma rejected his plea for more time.
The legal battle traces back to 2010, when Yadav and his wife Radha took a loan of ₹5 Crore from Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to produce his directorial debut film, "Ata Pata Laapata". The film's commercial failure made repayment difficult, and the debt has since ballooned to approximately ₹9 Crore.
Before surrendering, Rajpal Yadav stated: "I don't have the money. I see no other way... here we are all alone. There are no friends." This platform was created in response to that cry for help.
